Bihar Govt. Scheme for Girls: Get INR 94100 from Birth to Graduation

Central and State government of India runs several schemes for women and girl’s empowerment. Few of such schemes that have been adopted very well by Indians are –

  • Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana
  • Beti Bachao Beti Padhao
  • Balika Samriddhi Yojana

Now State Government of Bihar has launched the Mukhya Mantri Kanya Utthan Yojana for the empowerment of girls from Bihar state.

Benefits of Kanya Utthan Yojana

Right from the child birth till her graduation, the state will bear all the expenses.

Rs. 94,100 will be given by the government in different stages of her life – birth to graduation.

How to Get Details of Kanya Utthan Yojana

  • Visit the official website https://ekalyan.bih.nic.in/ and complete the application.
  • Other option is to call the helpline number 0612 – 2233333

When is the money given and how much?

The Government of Bihar will give

  • Rs. 2000 when a girl child is born
  • Rs. 1000 when the girl child turns 1 year old
  • Rs. 2000 for vaccination
  • Rs. 3700 for school uniform from class 1 to 12
  • Rs. 10000 is given when the girl child enters 10th class
  • Rs. 25000 is given when the girl child enters 12th class
  • Rs. 50000 when the girl graduates
  • In addition, under the Kishori Swasthya Yojana, young girls who are in the standard 7th to 12th gets ₹300 per year for the purchase of sanitary napkins.

Eligibility Criteria for Chief Minister Kanya Utthan Yojana?

  • Applicant should be the resident of Bihar
  • Bank account of the applicant should be in Bihar
  • The bank branch should be a a nationalized bank, a recognized private bank, or an India Post Payment Bank
  • Maximum of 2 girls from the family will be covered under this scheme
